ALIF LAAM MIIM. ALLAHU LAA ILAHA ILLAA HUWAL HAYYUL QAYYUM. ALLAHUMMA INNI AS ALUKA BI ANNII ASYHADUANNAKA ANTALLAAHU LAA ILAAHA ILLA ANTAL AHADU SHSHAMADU LAM YALID WALAM YUULAD WALAM YAKUN LAHUU KUFUAN AHAD. ARTINYA: Dan tuhan kamu adalah tuhan yang satu. Tidak ada tuhan yang patut di sembah hanya dia (allah) yang maha pengasih dan penyayang.

Seperti dalam hadits dari Anas bin Malik, ia berkata, "Jika Rasulullah SAW tertimpa suatu perkara yang menyedihkan, beliau mengucapkan, Ya Hayyu, Ya Qayyum birahmatika astaghitsu (Wahai Yang Mahahidup dan Maha Penegak dengan rahmat-Mu aku meminta pertolongan)." (HR at-Tirmidzi dalam Jami')

1. One should read: يَا لَطِيف "Ya Latif" (129 times in the morning and evening. Increase the number to 133 in times of difficulty.) Al-Latif is one of Allah's names and is sometimes translated as "gentle" or "subtle." Habib Kadhim as-Saqqaf (may Allah preserve him) said it encompasses all the names of Allah which express His beauty.

Allah knows best. In any case, the istikharah prayer from the sunnah is more than sufficient. The Companions (Allah be pleased with them) said the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his folk) would teach it to them like a surah of the Quran. Our teachers also emphasize it in particular.
